This page contains songs which I've done recently. All of the songs on this page are recorded as mp3s. As of July 13, 2008, I started composing again using MIDI software. After trying several different packages, I decided Notation Composer was the best.

I record using Audio Record Wizard while playing the song either through Notation Composer or through FL Studio. The MIDI sounds on my sound card aren't too bad, so I frequently use the default MIDI sounds for some instruments. However, with most songs, I replace at least a few of the instruments in FL Studio. Especially the electric guitar. The MIDI electric guitar sounds horrible so I have to change it with something.

The songs here are either completely new, completely from my old Tandy songs, or based on a riff from my old Tandy songs. For example, "The Spectres' Dance" is based on 3 riffs from one of my Tandy songs, and then greatly expanded. The song "A Dark Sky" is completely new.

Songs below are ordered from newest to oldest. The order in this case refers to when I finished composing and recording it.

Metal-ish songs

1. "Her Tentacles Are Sexy". Intended to be a mixture of bellydancing and metal, but it sort of morphed into something else. This link goes to my song hosted at soundclick.com. (3:18) (4.8MB)
2. "Biomechanical Braids". A mixture of bellydancing and metal. (3:15) (4.7MB)

4. "Catching the Prey". I attempted to make a song that sounds like it would be suitable for a chase scene in an action movie, such as some cars chasing another car. (2:13) (3.2MB)
5. "The Sights of the City of Spirits". I imagined walking in a city in Hades (filled with the souls of the dead), and this is what I created. (4:34) (6.6MB)

Non-metal songs

2. "The Piano Playing Cat". This song reminds me of Tom playing the piano and Jerry dancing to it, thus the name. This link goes to my song hosted at soundclick.com. (1:27) (2.1MB)

11. "The 19th Century". This is mostly from my Tandy song "Goodsong". A little new stuff was added in the middle, and it was lengthened. Formerly known as "Waltz 4". (1:39) (2.2MB)

My old Tandy songs, redone

Below are a few of my old Tandy songs, redone with much nicer sounds. None of these songs are actually new; they're all old. I simply rerecorded them all with much nicer sounds. Personally, I think of these songs as musical gems. I know a lot of people are going to disagree with that (strongly) and that's fine. I enjoy listening to these very much. Basically, it's fun music. The best songs are possibly "Paranoid", "Song", "Red", and "U".
